BECOMING A MEMBER OF HUCKNALL WI

Members joining our WI from April 2024 will pay £48 for 12 meetings, a pro-rota subscription depending on the quarter you join after this will apply.

The Annual subscription is split across National Federation WI, Nottinghamshire County Federation WI, and Hucknall WI.

Dual members only  pay the WI portion to their second WI that they join.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Yes.  We always welcome visitors and you can visit up to three times before making the decision to join the WI.

CAN I TRY A SUB-GROUP OUT AS A VISITOR?

No.  You will need to become a WI member to try one of our sub-groups.

IS THE VENUE SUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES?

The Central Methodist Church has its own car park to allow for those with mobility issues.  There is also ramp access at both the front and back entrance. 

 

Sub-groups meet in different locations around Hucknall and Nottinghamshire County in the case of the Darts Team.

I'M A BIT ANXIOUS ABOUT VISITING ON MY OWN, IS HUCKNALL WI FRIENDLY?

Yes!  We are happy to meet up with you outside the venue so you don’t have to walk in on your own.  Please get in touch via our Facebook page, text message or email.  We like to ensure our visitors feel welcome.

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE FOR JOINING THE WI?

Yes you must be 18 years of age to join the WI.

CAN I VISIT HUCKNALL WI TO SEE IF I LIKE IT AND DOES IT COST?

Yes of course you can come and check us out!  Visitors are asked to pay £4.50, this includes refreshments on the night

DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN HUCKNALL TO JOIN HUCKNALL WI?

No, it isn’t compulsory to live in Hucknall to join the Hucknall branch of the WI. 

INTRODUCING WI SUPPORTERS

These are options for women who are interested in the WI and who support what we do, but are unable to join as members.

Option 1: SUPPORTER

This will be an introduction to the WI on a very basic, donatory level, with a minimum donation of £5.  In return you will receive a package of promotional materials, including information about our campaigns. 

​

Option 2: SUPPORTER PLUS

This will be more of a taste of the WI for women who are interested in becoming involved in the WI but don't know where to start.  The minimum donation is £18 and will include limited access to My WI (relevant content only), a subscription to WI Life magazine, more campaign resources, and access to two Denman courses, one live and one on-demand.
