Partnering with the Hucknall branch of the Women's Institute, female authors and publishers are showing their support for women in March by donating copies of their books to be wrapped and distributed within Hucknall WI's community.  In particular we want to reach women in education, business or who may be facing difficult times.

In March we celebrate International Women's Day, Women's History Month and World Book Day, so when better to empower and inspire women.

How to get involved:

 

1) Sign your book(s) and write an optional inspirational message

2) Send your book(s) along with any details of your social media/contact info you wish to share so we can tag you in social posts etc to:

3) Share details of the initiative to any other authors or publishers in your network that may like to get involved

What happens next?

 

Throughout March, the women of Hucknall WI will receive your books, wrap them and distribute them to women in their community and networks, focussing on women in education, business and/or who may be facing difficulties in their lives. They will post updates on their social media and be sharing the details with the media too. 

 

The ladies of Hucknall WI will encourage the recipients of your kind donations to reach out to thank you via social media or with any other contact information you provide. 

 

This is the first year that the She Reads, She Leads initiative has run and we hope that it will become an annual event to celebrate, inspire and empower women in communities across the country.
